Guest grinningcat
listening to 'left leg out' at the DMZ raves in brixton last year was amazing.... just when you are getting used to all the dubstep riddims they stop and start playing this weird morse code sound... a signal.. which slowly builds up into a booming bass. then after that tune they play some congo patterns. i love dmz. in fact ~::-dMz4LyFe-::~ Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/18088-dubstep/page/10/#findComment-501318 Share on other sites

kaini
rusko - snes dub dubstep meets chiptunes, sorta. crackin track with some very skream arpeggios. wouldn't be surprised if it's an alter. the bside, hornz cru, is great, skreamesque fare as well. almost certain he used the tweakbench snes vsts for this badboy. kaini
skream - midnight request line (master of arpeggios. most likely to have a windowlicker-style breakthrough) digital mystikz - antiwar dub (masters of roots. masters of fucking dubstep really. left leg out also highly highly recommended) burial - u hurt me (probably most electronic music of all 'step producers. verging on ambient) shackleton - naked (probably most progressive, forward thinking dubstep producer. this track has an almost ridiculously huge bass drop) kode9 & daddi gee - sine (minimal minimal minimal - most mental prince cover you will EVER hear. daddi gee is now called the spaceape. best mc in the scene. kode9's remix of massive music's 'find my way' also a huge track.) imho best way to get a feel is through pirate stations like rinse fm and sub fm some mixes: Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/youngstaRinseFM.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/loganJan2005.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/YoungstaLoefah120505.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/kode9RinseFM.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/SlimzeeKarna...SyreB220505.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/Roll%20Deep26-06-05.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/nastyanddizzeedeja923.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/randomtriopromomix.mp3 Your browser does not support the HTML5 audio tag http://www.lilo.net/%7Emartin/skreammixaug05.mp3 Edited July 28, 2007 by kaini Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide kaini's signature Hide all signatures On 5/7/2013 at 11:06 PM, ambermonk said: I know IDM can be extreme On 6/3/2017 at 11:50 PM, ladalaika said: this sounds like an airplane landing on a minefield Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/18088-dubstep/page/10/#findComment-504847 Share on other sites
