Autechre Classical music

would anyone else consider Autechre electronic classical music? Taking a music history class now, and I think Autechre deserves mention alongside Steve Reich and all those dudes.

If you listen to the more academic side of classical this is definately true, for example autechre and bachs art of fugue stimulate my head in a strikingly similar manner.

ehh...ive thought about this before too

i think the limit of usable sounds classical composers work with versus the near limitless amount of sounds available to autechre and such makes a rather large difference however...classical music is working with a lot less.
