I think these guys are badass... anybody else listen to them or even heard of them?

for anybody who doesn't know them, they're kinda an electronic music jam band, kinda... kinda

I'm with it. Artifact is a good album.

Yeah they're a great live show. Any time STS9, mm&w, or Galactic come through on tour I try to catch them.

I missed the chance to see em live, but i highly enjoy Artifact.

nice, i love the archive.. don't know if you've heard of umphrey's mcgee, but i've got a good number of their shows off the archive. i found sts9 through them... can't wait for sts9 to make their way up here for a tour...i may have to trek to NY for a show in late may.

as for my place of residence, i'm just outside boston in the suburbs, but that won't last long b/c i'm off to college in the coming years... as for pawtucket, i work there occasionally during the summer around the corner from McCoy.. i like the city, it's got a nice feel to it

fuck yeah dude.. it was the best show i'd ever went to.. i've never danced more than that.

STS9 are a lovely band, they're all the rage in colorado.

no way in hell can i play guitar like either of those two guys... i wish i could, but i can't. heh, i'm surprised anyone remmbered / noticed anything i wrote there. if it makes you feel any better, i can play a bunch of their songs on guitar.

as for STS9, i'm not surprised that their big out in CO... i just wish they were bigger in the NE. that way i could catch them live this summer or something.

yeah, they're the new big jam band in colorado now that string cheese is breaking up. they recently did 3 nights at the fox in boulder and are doing 2 red rocks shows and an ogden show in september.

i like their jungly stuff a lot but they

get a bit too repetitive for my tastes.

about what, cheese? bill nershi is leaving the band at the end of the summer to do other stuff so apparently they're more or less splitting up

Is that the band youre talking about?

saw them live. hated the crowd. wasn't feelin' it. still enjoy some stuff of theirs. but not all of it. in fact i don't know if i even like them anymore.

saw them again 3/6-7/2009 and they still play a wicked show

STS9 kicks ass. I've seen 'em probably 4 times, most recently, last July at a free show in St louis. I danced my fucking ass off. umphrey's opened for 'em too.

A bunch of my friends were into STS9 big time, they would follow them around on tour. They're ok, but not my thing... a bit to repetitive and jam bandy, kinda boring/annoying. Most of my friends basically used their shows as an excuse to do massive amounts of psychedelics. No problem there though

man, I do not understand how anyone can like this and be an IDM-head.....

but the real thing that killed it for me was some girls I was hanging out with like 4 years back, similar to what makes Tool suck for some people (luckily I was a Tool fan before the other fans got all redneck and hillbillied out) is what makes STS9 suck for me, the people obsessed with them....

Stupid, drug-addled neo-hippies with no love for real electronic music and whom think that electronic music is only STS9....

glad for the guys on here that enjoy it and can realize that there is better electronic music but for me....

there is most def better but i still like 'em.
