i dunno which disc or which track it is... i must confess to not liking most of saw 2... but there's one trac.. it's got a descending kind of whistly arpeggio four notes... then up twotones, and back down a third... with a kind of subby bass... very atonal until you hear both parts together, and then it's just beauty.

if anyone can tell me which track it is from the tremendously vague description, then they'll get a biscuit. or something. probably.

man.. skipping through the tracks trying to figure out which one you're talking about is making me realize how much I regret not listening to this all the time. what kind of drugs afx must have had to make this i can't imagine....

maybe windowsill (flutes and subby bass hits - almost tribal sounding, rhythmic)

second thought, screw the track names... it's better with just colors

SAWII... what a sick, sick album... desolate, brooding, lysergic shit... like richard himself said .. 'it's like being in a power-generatorstation on acid'...

I really, really can't pick a favorite track... I think the vibes are the best around 'Tree' or 'Spots'... but you really have to listen to this album without skipping anything, from start to end..

I'd vote for Stone In Focus, but it was left off the album. How Aphex can create a beautiful, engaging, hypnotic track out of a three part motif repeated for ten minutes still eludes me. From the list, my favorite would be Lichen.

i had an almost enlightened exp back in the day listening to rhubarb in a field surrounded by snow

i felt as though everyone i knew was trying to communicate with me,'; but it wasn't voices it was just thoughts, my thoughts, very busy like

it was like having millions of beautiful thoughts running through my head. very positive and overwhelming experience

i remember when i first got this album. listened to it on my discman in the car while my mom and big sis were in the mall shopping. it sounded so alien and was a very difficult listen. i knew it was something special though.

nowadays it's just another brilliant album that suits me well no matter what the situation or the mood i'm in.

i know the brown version is rare but there's a regular version too, maybe they are both rare? i dunno

Z-Twig evokes some strange level of relaxation within me that's hard to explain.

Yeah, that's a beautiful track too, but maybe too simple to warrant a "favourite SAW2 track" vote... and I prefer to hear it at the start of the mix CD that came with the WarpVision DVD with vocal samples and such :fear:

For me it's one of those albums that definitely brings back memories of a certain place and time.

The first time I heard it I was lying in my freezing cold, dark flat in Japan – completely hungover and hungry.

It was the most disturbing musical experience of my life.

Just goes to show you it's not what you put into a track - it's what you leave out.

Hard to decide... I voted for Rhubarb. Strangely relaxing and depressing at the same time. I also like curtains, matchsticks, and quite a few others .

It's Lichen! I win!

Yeah my favourites are Radiator, Mould, White Blur 2 and Z Twig. White Blur 2 is so long that by the time it's finished you feel like you've been up all night and kall drowsy and stuff...

You'll have a hard time finding a copy on black vinyl - black copies hardly ever turn up, AFAIK there are actually less of those than the limited brown. And the pressing is way better.

One of the few records I much prefer to listen to on CD, though.
