Pioneer To The Falls is an amazing song, but I fear this album will be another Antics sort of album. I enjoy Antics, but Turn On The Bright Lights is "my" album. It´s still the album that defines me the better, very well constructed and with a peculiar atmosphere that few bands create. BUT, I can only comment after hearing it. I´m gonna watch them the 5th of July!

i just watch this twice a few minutes ago!

pitchfork gave it a 6.0 ... i have to give them a -1.0 handicap because they automatically rip on any indie band that signs to a major. so like 7.0; which seems about right

I have turn on the bright lights and like it. If I were to buy one more, should I buy Antics or this new one??

turn on the bright lights was absolutely amazing (lief erikson is one of my top 10 non-electronic songs of all time), and they built their image at that point in time... live shows and image have carried them...

antics was decent, definitely good all the way through. our love to admire is, as was previously stated, a BIT better than antics (paul does some more dynamic things with his voice, which is nice), but the production isn't great and there is absolutely no major leaps musically. and still, i miss the raw emotion of turn on the bright lights. its a good purchase, but its their fault for making us expect them to advance further rather than the samo.....

they are always recommended to me and praised and i don't see it at all

lyrics are awful, music says nothing to me

but they appear good, it's like they have found a formula to appear like "excellent indie"

like Autechre made a soul-less generative indie patch

obstacle 1 is enjoyably catchy

that's about it for me

it's hard for me to form an opinion of this album... it's nothing like their other two (and that's kind of a bad thing..), and the songs aren't that memorable. i guess if i had to give my opinion, i guess i'd say that's it's not terrible, but not really good either. i mean, some of the songs are great (pioneer to the falls, the heinrich maneuver, all fired up, rest my chemistry) but the rest are hard to get into.. i had very high hopes for this album....

i hate how all non-electroniic bands cant do anything worthwhile after their first album, or first big album (excluding ep's and some shit that was never released)

antics sucked. this sounds like it's gonna be shit as well.

All of the songs are well crafted and sound better which each listen. It's not easy to get into them, that's a fact too.

this album sucks coooooock
