Hey

(link to live set)

I'm quite a fan of autechre, I hated them at first, too random, but then a few months went passed and everyone kept mentioning them, so I gave them a good listen, ever since loved a lot of their work.

Their live sets seem to really stand out for me.

I was on the bus home from work a year ago, I had one of their live sets on my phone, really distorted live set, but it blew my mind and ever since I've been obsessed.

Anyway, this set is a much better quality version of the similar set that was very distorted.

Their tracks they play in this live set sound so different from the ones that they've actually come from on the pressed cd's.. I don't know why.. Personally I think they've remastered a few of them, and you can hear clear indications of modifications..

Definitely the best electronic music I've ever heard... though I have to say, though their style is unique, I wish they would go a little bit traditional, in the sense that they build up tension.

The best way to build up tension is to sneak up behind someone on tippy toes (make sure you have a pianist on hand to strike a key for every step) then crash some cymbals behind their head.

Thanks for listening.

i started with tri repetae++

i think that's a good starting point if you consider their entire oeuvre

i wish i had been there at the artificial intelligence time though

that era of theirs is my favorite and still wish they would replicate it
