Rushup Edge release date

I dunno how you can say "rushup" is unoriginal BCM. Granted, it's not innovative like HAB but still man... I'm trying to empathise with you but I find I cannot. I don't understand!

There's a Rushup Edge "review" in the new Vice.

the tracks are always evolving. it's like emphasis was put on not repeating ideas through the whole tracks. that's something AFX has always tried, let it be with sounds or beats, and in this case the whole compositions.

i like it really.

i see where you are coming from and i agree there is talent everywhere in the music world. but no one makes music like this. AFX has got a very defining feel and sounds and warmth. im not one for fanboy bullshit and i have met and heard hndereds of incredible musicians but my point is that Tuss, RDJ, AFX, Aphex twin etc.... is individual and nothing else is quite like it.

I thought that was the best one at first but now I'm really into Rushup I Bank 12 - it must just be all those piano and analogue parts... they are so yummy - reminds me a bit of Xmd 5a

I thought that was the best one at first but now I'm really into Rushup I Bank 12 - it must just be all those piano and analogue parts... they are so yummy - reminds me a bit of Xmd 5a

it's good, but nothing on the ep or album approaches fenix funk (from analord) for all-round goodness

Fenix funk Rocks, where's your girlfriend is my fave analord.

But in all honesty, Synthacon 9, Death fuck, and the second track (cant remember their names), oh and alspaca are all better than analord, maybe just cos its newer to me.

i think most of the them equal the compositional quality but they sound all weaker mixed to me, especially the break beat sampling and cutups. Most of the breaks (with the exception of deahtfuck which isnt even really breaks its just weird drum sounds) are very tiny sounding compared to Drukqs or even Fenix funk. It makes me wonder if he just didnt finish mixing the songs or something,. Otherwise great LP just a little disappointed by the break beat mix.

it was an early leak (in 192br mp3 at that)... a very good chance that the mastering wasn't finished. just listening to the boomkat samples and the mix sounds much better already.
