shiz ko e sounds like instrumental dirty-mind era prince

funny you say that... just this morning I was playing "shiz ko e" for my wife (who digs on alot of aphex, vibert, boc etc) and said "tell me this doesn't sound like early Prince". she agreed.

and regarding Rushup as a whole... THIS is why I love electronic music. 6 tracks and all of them completely ace (though 1, 2 & 4 are the standouts for me). and while I'm still certain it's RDJ, really I don't care anymore. whatever person(s) and sessions that make up the thing that is The Tuss / Brian Tregaskin rule my fucking school and are doing it RIGHT.

the whole thing is just quality. shiz ko e sounds like instrumental dirty-mind era prince, definitely some vibert in there. to my ears:

synthacon 9 - pure aphex

last rushup 10 - sounds like an aphex/pusher collab

shiz ko e - almost certainly aphex/vibert to my ears

rushup I bank 12 - pure aphex

death fuck - sounds like an aphex/snares collab

goodbye rute - still can't make up my mind about this one

this sounds like an airplane landing on a minefield

this album is epic, i still believe its rdj + others unless hes experimenting at sounding like pusher/vibert aswell.

could you post the snipped? i dont find it on my HD currently and the downloads are disabled

they sound like improvised synth masturbations, if they were intended to be full tracks im sure we would have heard them. im guessing whoever made them did some piss-takes purposefully for under 30 seconds long.

and hilariously to whoever did it many people were loving Traapse including myself and are dissapointed by its non appearance on rushup edge.

whats all this talk about aaron funk/snares contributing? Does anybody remember that Vsnares bit off of Drukqs so hard his teeth broke? Im just saying that Death Fuck sounds nothing like Snares to me, maybe only if you forgot that snares is heavily aphex influenced to begin with.

already Rushup Edge is kind of losing its novelty, there are some really quality tracks on here like deathfuck and rushup bank but overall im pretty underwhelmed. The breakbeats are very tiny sounding on lots of the tracks is my main complaint. I still think aphex is capable of much better. I was very very excited when i first listened to it all the way through.
