Here's a photo from the Friday morning practice session at the banked corner at the US GP. DSC ran a low downforce trim in the Mclaren Mercedes.

what sort of tracks have you been receiving? Just wondering because i'm thinking of submitting something, but just worried that it might not fit in with everything else that you've gotten so far.

dude you should definitely submit a track regardless. think about the deep, not what other people are doing. i'd like to have all sorts of styles on this.

velasquez - those are fucking awesome. you think we need to do a full color booklet?

i'm not sure on this artwork. is this really the style we're going for here? makes it seem like a joke when its kinda serious.

*jots it down*

serious it up velazquez.

actually that hockey one is pretty serious. i bet especially if it was sepia toned or something it would be dead serious

but yeah I agree this probably shouldnt be completely slapstick packaging especially if there is money going into it

omg it's leaked

and it's amazing.

The setup work DSC did really paid off as Mclaren was on song this weekend and dominated the field and finished one-two.

doubtful. unless someone can link to a place that can do really small runs for a decent price. i dont want to have a stack of vinyls collecting dust in my closet after moving about 10 or 20 of these.

Guest Adjective

after the tracks are judged and the final playlist is decided

is everyone going to send you uncompressed wavs and everything? (i hope)

and also, i assume the average loudness of the tracks could vary greatly, how will that be handled? would be nice if people were able to provide their rendered tracks at like 24-bit without having been run through a brickwall limiter, send those over to someone mildly knowledgable, and have him "omgbrickwall" them relative to one another.

or maybe someone suggest some helpful mix guidelines for people to follow

and vinyl (if you did go that route)has to be mastered a little different too right? watching the bass to keep the needle from skipping?

vinyl would rock, maybe less cool if no sleeve though

dont get your hopes up on vinyl, it looks like it'd cost at least a grand. if i could press up 50 vinyls for like 300 or 400 bucks, i'd do it. but i cant find any place that will do runs that short. i wonder how many people here actually buy vinyl? i know i do, and eventually i would like to put something out on vinyl, but i dont think the time is right now. this will be a whomp ass cd though.

but yeah i will definitely make sure the volumes arent crazy and some mastering is done, whether i do it myself or have someone more knowledgeable than me do it. rest assured great care will definitely be taken after the tracks are decided to make the album cohesive and wailing.
