Nice post.

Production and "how it sounds" as a whole has been stopping me from doing anything for months now. I just can't care to continue a track if it doesn't sounds as good as I want to. Specially if you are thinking about sending some demo, or just showing your stuff to other people, the sound of it would stop me to do it.

ghostbusters are you sure ? since the mastering enginers name is never mentioned on the cd sleeve i kind just assumed the tracks where straight off aphexs/ sqps laptops. maybe im ignorant.

when I saw sigur rós live the difference in sound from their last album (takk) was incredible. they do the dramatic build-ups of course, but that doesn't come through the slightest bit on the record, 'cause there's no dynamic range. that album deserves to be remastered.
