Nice! This will come in handy for sure. I just wish it wasn't constant, but it's no big deal. If it was triggered by a note played via midi (not keytracked even, just a signal), it would be even better.

Good idea, here http://www.mediafire.com/?ntztneighuaw3rx

Geeze, you are on top of things! The envelope addition was a brilliant idea as well! Thanks a ton! If you ever make any more noise machines, let me know, as this is going to be satisfying to work with.

Thanks :tongue:http://www.mediafire.com/?nab9vl6f7v8tk9q This is way improved version with some more interesting controls and better chances to find useful sounds. Check out the snaps to see what the different sounds I could get out of it after some tweaking and please please share cool snaps if you find them.

Also, as it stands, this seems to be one of those sorts of synths where one would record the output for a bit, then chop up the wave to fit whatever project one is working on. I'm wondering how you could make it so it's more controllable so that the results are a bit more predictable. That may defeat the purpose though, I dunno. As it is now, it's a brilliant piece of work, so I'm not by any means complaining.

I was initially trying to make a traditional FM signal but I wasn't happy with the FM synthesis examples I have heard from Reaktor so I tried doing a Core table oscillator from the Core tutorial but I was confused at the time and accidentally bypassed one of the core modules. I fixed the connection in carrier but forget to fix the modulator and these wacky pseudo sequenced sounds emerged through some means that I don't understand. I tried to duplicate the effect a bit unsuccessfully with a regular FM oscillator, which was the patch that I first posted, I was going to keep this one a secret weapon but nobody was really downloading my mediafire links anyways.

I will try and research a way to reinitialize the patch on a gate or something, that's the only way I can imagine I could get predictability but I'm not sure its possible or easy right now.

I will do a preset save/export picture tutorial in a bit.

the top number box is preset number the bottom number box is bank number and then you press L or S to load or save to those numbers but if you click the buttons on either side of L/S it either loads or saves the previous/next one automatically. I find Reaktors preset manager a pain in the ass so I much prefer to use this.

And saving banks is quite easy:

hey sneaksta did you use Reaktor to do that rhythmic quantized time stretching in the new Pee-wee remix you did? It sounded kinda like tracker-time stretching.

there's an ensemble I've been loving lately, it's called Travelizer. It's a granular texture maker. I think I avoided it because I don't relly understand granular much and find grainstates difficult to work with. This one's easier. I have it fully automated on my nanokontrol, with a simple drum loop sample, and I made something like LP5 Autechre, the last track. fun!

are those patches that you (radar jammer) posted in Jan still up anywhere? Those links are broken. :(

I'd love to roll some of this stuff into a daily ambient piece.

can anyone recommend an unconventional sequencer in reaktor? I have become savvy enough that i can connect a sequencer to a synth and am having fun with the Spiral sequencer. Do you know of any other sequencers that are not like the usual kind?

Can you send out midi from reaktor to hardware stuff? Maybe only in stand-alone mode?

haha I doubt it in reaktor land. Everytime I use something by NI I want to thrown the User Experience handbook at them. Their shit is so fucking cryptic it makes me crazy.

Anyways. Can someone send me ensemble file for the spiral sequencer? :D Shit can't be found.
