by that i assume you mean the 'brian tregaskin' that pretended to be the tuss, and listed himself as playing and started posting rumours that he was playing on the net

the photo was taken at the last i love acid by a fellow named alex (who is playing a live 303+606 set at this bash as ghost explorer).

alex and myself have the only originals - whoever has been using that pic for themselves got it from the i love acid myspace page (its in the gallery there)

i spoke to grant @ rephlex and the real tuss, who assured me this fellow has absolutely jack shit to do with the tuss. luckily they understand it was just some wally doing a wind up, and not me making up bullshit to try and help sell tickets - otherwise my name as a promoter could have been smeared and it would have been hard for me to book rephlex acts again in the future ... in the past we've managed to have a few pretty special people play at parties we've hosted - b12, aphex, modeselektor, goldfrapp, richard x, the skam lot, funkstorung, etc. - its important that people know youre genuine and doing it out of love and not some schemey greedy sneaky fucker (like a lot of promoters are), otherwise they simply wont want to play at your parties

oh - and john power is an ex-promoter and dj - he did the last few warp xmas bashes, the poke nights at jacks, plus loads of others, and is good mates with myself and james wheels instead of hooves, and always kind of involved in some way or the other. he's a top bloke, and he's pulling out the old rolands and is going to do a *very rare* live show. literrally the first live show he's done in years.

why are you using ticketweb I hate those thieving bastards. £1.20 on a £10 ticket for a venue pickup! Please tell me there will be tickets on the door or you can put me on a paying guestlist or something but I don't think I can bring myself to sponsor those rip off merchants

sorry about that, i usually try to do paypal & ebay tix and post them out as well as TW, but with the postal strikes decided to miss that this time...

there will be plenty of tix left on the door - ticketweb maxes out at 200 leaving another 150 on the door even if they sell out

youre absolutely right: the £1.20 is per transaction is pretty shit for single collection ticket sales, - but to be fair, most ticketweb sales tend to be in batches of 4 or 5 +, and often are for people coming in from out of town who want to guarantee entry

if youre going to come down on the night and pay cash - get down before midnight and you should have no probs. (get down earlier and you may still get some of the free stuff too heh heh)
