I've said it before I'll say it again - If it's not from the horses mouth (i.e. WARP or the brothers Mike/Marcus) then it's horseshit as far a I'm concerned. When it's official, then it's official. MDG? Who is this guy anyway? BoC's unoffcial spokesperson? A bugger in the scrum? Someone that's been on the board since year dot? So If i'd been on the board since it started & I was claiming to be a member of 'The beach at Redpoint party' or something, would everyone get excited if I claimed I had some inside info? How long have you been following their work? You seem to be pretty skeptical and unnecessarily belligerent about certain established facts about their background and history. Is the current incarnation of their official website the only one that you've ever seen? If you're not just putting on a big act, I'm just baffled. I don't really live and breathe BoC, the threads where people basically cyberstalk other known members of Hexagon Sun really creep me out, and the "what would you do if you met Mike and Marcus?" topics are pretty ridiculous but I do respect and have enjoyed their work since MHTRTC was released in the US, and I've kept tabs on them, reading any interviews I come across (ie info straight from the horse's mouth) and remember their original website that stirred up all the controversy about their older unreleased to the public work. There really isn't anything being discussed in this thread that hasn't been confirmed ages ago. No one is trying to pull the wool over anyone's eyes. It's fact that a video contest was run here at WATMM around the time of Geogaddi, where the videos were judged by the brothers themselves and the prizes were signed copies of Geogaddi. The fact that the "official" contest was held here establishes that this site is the only place on the internet where there's anything approaching a semi-official forum where you can occasionally get good info beyond what's posted on the official site, and most of us are pretty grateful for that. Ultimately it doesn't matter, this board has its share of idiots and hoaxers, but mdg is certainly someone that 99% of us can count on just from past history. Guest Dogboy73
I've been a BoC fan, since about the time you have, when I first heard MHTRTC just after it was released. I've been aware of the official website for about as long i.e. when they had all the old releases on there ....... and then mysteriously took them all down! Okay so MDG is a reliable source of info. But he's not really saying much is he. Something about the brothers working through some old archives. Fine. MDG is the real deal? Is he just taking the piss with these tantalizing nuggets of info apparently from the exclusive circle of people known as 'Hexagon sun'?! It's just carrot dangling that infact fuels more speculation, rumours & controversy. It just gets a bit silly really. Right now there is a thread going on titled 'Closes volume 1 - real?'. Inevitably it seems in fact to be the usual collection of fakes, rehashes & fans own 'BoC-alike' music. So yes, it's always interesting to hear info about BoC's goings on. But the hearsay & rumour is growing a little tired now after all these years. I think it's time for closure on closes, the where abouts of Hooper Bay to be revealed, a recollection of Acid Memories & this years edition of catalog 3 to be published Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/25763-ebay/page/3/#findComment-550997 Share on other sites

Inevitably it seems in fact to be the usual collection of fakes, rehashes & fans own 'BoC-alike' music. I think what it really comes down to is that privacy is obviously really important to them. They might not want to give out a lot of info in regard to something they might have a change of heart about releasing later, which would just disappoint their fans even more. That's a lot of speculation but that's just my take on it. I know how you feel about it, it's very frustrating, a lot of people have wanted to hear some of that music for a very long time. Getting everything cleaned up sounds like a pretty daunting task too. I'm sure there's a lot of amazing music that the public will never hear because it's deemed too personal or meant for certain people. To be honest, if I had to pick between a new album at this point and a good sized compilation of the unreleased music, I'd probably go for the unreleased stuff myself. The time just feels right for it, but it's not the fans' call unfortunately. I'm definitely not complaining about a new album though! For now all we can do is wait for and enjoy whatever bits of info that's allowed to be shared with us. If you accept the Old Tunes as being genuine, that's a lot of music to tide you over until something new happens. The fact that nothing has leaked but the Old Tunes tapes is a testament to the fact that they obviously know who they can trust, and I don't see anyone betraying that trust anytime soon by getting any more specific about future plans than they have to. Guest john fonda
personally wud prefer if someone came out and said there will be no interview, releases or gigs this year, instead of what currently happens, just stating what I wud like to see, at least folk wud know where they stand, it aint life or death... I'm sure that's the case. But the release numbers for a lot of the pre-Twoism stuff range from 50-100 copies, at least these were the quantities stated on the BoC website when all this stuff was still in their discography. Were all of these copies only given to friends & family? I appreciate what people are saying but certain things don't really make a lot of sense. Maybe they produced this many copies but only gave a few to family & friends. Maybe the rest are stashed somewhere?
