Holy Shit! Reason 4 launches tomorrow

im downloading the demo.

reason is great, all that it needed was improvements to the sequencer.

after 20 minutes of use I can say that thor sounds great

This has reminded me to uninstall Reason 3.

I need more room for porn.

i'll have to try the demo to see what it's like.

i was long time reason user before switching to renoise, still have a soft spot for the nnxt and subtractor.

i don't remember ever wanting to use VSTs with it

they made it a bit more useful for live performance.

I only ever use the malstrom for a sinewave. Hmmm, i am most interested in the groove tool.

omg yay James Bernard does the tutorial vid, I am gayly in love with him.

my single problem with reason is... it runs horrible on a PPC mac.

and reason 4 makes no difference with that; looks like nothing has been done from scratch, or at least goes the same 'wrong' way of compiling for the mac. i hate intel. :/

did someone mention the 'all new nuendo' yet ?

please elaborate! this was always my biggest gripe about reason. i love the app, but it's so limited for live gigis

The Plaid patches are nice.

But this really overloads my powerbook.

Thor has amazing bass. The multi-osc and analog-osc and the ladder filter are all A+

I STILL don't get the point of the rebirth input machine.. at least in OS X anyway

Yes because modular synthesizers are strictly for electronic music!

Modular synthesis is all about pretention. That's why it costs so much. There's no real reason for me to have a 4 foot long wooden box on my desk. I just make enough money to bask in the coolness.

you're forgetting this is software we're talking about. and it's SEMI-modular. whatever that means.

That means don't use presets because it came from Propellerheads.
