plaid Tekkon Kinkreet

So, just yesterday I noticed that a version of this with English subtitles was finally available, now its sitting on my hard drive waiting for me to watch it. Anybody seen it yet? I have the Plaid soundtrack and its amazing, cant wait to watch the movie.

Oh, I saw Eastern Promises last night, pretty good, reminded me alot of History of Violence. (I had to convince the woman that it would be better than The Kingdom *shudder*)

FINALLY

i watched ~45 mins of the original but it just couldn't be done as well as other movies. The dialog sure was emphasized. What I saw looked amazing though; i'm pumped to see it with subs. Thanks for the heads up

yeah the dvd and blu-ray are out now, its next in my netflix queue.

I was lucky enough to see it in the cinema at the local film festival a few months ago.

I have to admit... I was pretty bred for about the first half of the film. Then I thought it was ok... but by the last half hour or so I was absolutely loving it. Perhaps it requires more than one viewing to get the full impact, but at the very least it's consistently visually and aurally stunning.

PS Mind Game is better. IMO

Definitely one of the best films of 2006. Absolutely loved it.

man this shit blew my mind. it was excellent being aware of the soundtrack the entire time, kind of a multisensory mind fuck.

PS Mind Game is better. IMO

The last half an hour was the worst bit IMO. But everything before that was pretty incredible, the soundtrack was great too.

I liked it, but could have done without the crazy unexplained stuff at the end with Black that seems to be at the end of every anime I watch.
