I didn't say it wasn't ( i love Spanners more than i love my father) but i my opinion Parallel has something "extra" that makes me like it more.

Yup

Spanners is a criminaly underappreciated record even though with this album The Black Dog could be seen as IDM pioneers.

I am not that into their latest works but they still make ok to great techno tracks every now and then. I really enjoyed Black Daisy Wheel though, it felt more experimental than anything The Black Dog has done in years.

I feel like plaid made the outfit great, without them black dog has always been a bit unfulfilling

Liked that last album, seems more ambient thant the early work but still they're really outstanding and pioneers of the style. This song for example, is just beautiful:

They should be more popular.
