Someday soon, the phrase "dripping with light" won't just be an abstruse lyric in a post-punk song you've written... light may actually be dripping on things. At least that's what researchers at Nikki Chemical Co. and the Nagoya Institute of Technology hope to see happening by 2010. The team of scientists has created a white, fluorescent material which can be used to create white light, yet can be molded into a number of shapes. The mushy lamps consist of an organic compound, which is coupled with ultraviolet light and a glasslike inorganic compound that gives the substance structural protection. The combo can handle temperatures to 500 degrees Celsius, uses half the power of typical fluorescent lights, and will last longer than white LEDs due to heat resistance. Also, did we mention it's like Silly Putty?

MOBIUS STRIPS!

250px-Möbius_strip.jpg

All you need is a strip of paper and a bit of tape.

It only has ONE side. And if you cut along the center of the strip, all the way round it, it will NOT fall into two pieces of paper! Try it!

Ellie Krieger's tits are electronic music

So, I looked up Ellie Krieger and the only thing that came close to breasts were these

So please, do you care to elaborate on that?

Turritopsis%20nutricula.jpg

Turritopsis nutricula is a hydrozoan (jellyfish) with a life cycle in which it reverts back to the polyp stage after becoming sexually mature. It is the only known case of a metazoan (animal) capable of reverting completely to a sexually immature, colonial stage after having reached sexual maturity as a solitary stage (Piraino et al. 1996, p. 302). It does this through the cell development process of transdifferentiation. Theoretically, this cycle can repeat indefinitely, rendering it effectively immortal.

hahaha, damn! google image search is shutting down the cleavage-shots!

Ellie Krieger hosts a show on Food Network, and she always wears these low-cut shirts that show off some rather tantalizing cleavage...she's got nice ta-tas

Okay, now listen then... Ellie Krieger is nothing compared to England's Nigella Lawson. She is pure electronic music. electronic music to the bone!

Every time she has a taste of whatever she might be cooking up it sounds as if she's having an orgasm, which makes it really awkward if you're watching the show with someone. Plus, they always zoom in on her mouth when she eats something, just so we can see the sauce run down her chin, while she goes "mmmm..."

I know I've posted this video before, but... well, have a look...

ohhh, believe you me...I *know* about some Nigella :D

My gf HATES when I watch Nigella Bites on the weekends, 'cause she knows I'm looking at those titties...

Still though, when all is said and done, Nigella doesn't look nearly as toned as Ellie. I think I'd probably go for Ellie Krieger(you really have to see the show to see the twins in action, I guess, that's a shame).

Unfortunately youtube is blocked at my office, or I'd go find footage of her there.

I'm on it!

this video is exceptionally electronic music

Brand new basic electronics component - the Memristor

It's also an analogue logic component, and analogue computers are hyper-electronic music

not exactly brand-new: chua published his electronotes paper on this nearly 40 years ago. if this would've been mass-produced since the 70s, sure, but nowadays i'd rather grab some trannies for logic circuitry or regular op amp stages for current tracking. transistors that is. it's a neat concept for a current-controlled resistor nontheless, pretty inventive for its time. intel made a chip a few years back that was focussed on neural modeling and it used this sort of technology, any idmmer remember its parts numbers? would be intesting to hook up some electrodes to one of those

Cellular automaton-powered synth

  Quote
When von Neumann created the first system of cellular automata in the '40s it was purportedly to study self-replicating robots. It's taken this long for someone to finally figure out his true intentions: powering trippy video synthesizers. Enter the CellularRecombomat, a masterful example of circuit bending featuring a VTECH Lesson One, a Zenith portable DVD player, and cellular automata circuit board from synth extraordinaire Critter and Guitari. The genetic parameters (algorithm, width across the grid, and generation lifespan) are adjusted by three antenna-mounted optical sensors based on what's happening on the screen, meaning this thing effectively plays itself. But, for a little hands-on manipulation, the silver spheres on either side can be touched and caressed to "freak out the video sync and audio in wondrous ways."
