zazen
Great thread, I've wanted to make music on a pocket device for ages... From reading this thread, Nintendo DS Lite with Nitrotracker looks like a good option - the touch screen and stylus look very handy. I think I might be getting this soon... Youtube video showing nitrotracker being used, the musics not great but it shows what its like. Guest analogue wings
I have Bhaji's loops for my PalmOS based treo It's an old school tracker with fx and softsynths. you can use your own samples and it has x0x samples built in. Palm just released a $US99 Treo called the Centro(?), or you can get a non-phone palm PDA off the bay for pretty much nothing. zazen
so this thread inspired me to get a DS Lite and Nitrotracker. it's very basic (no fx, no synths, just triggered samples) but its quite refreshing to get back to basic sequencing. also you can record samples directly from the DS mic so you can make your own percussion etc! great fun so far. touchscreens are the way to go for mobile music making I think. In a few years hopefully there will be some mindblowing homebrew available for the ipod touch or somesuch Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/27311-mobile-music-making/page/2/#findComment-602238 Share on other sites
