when you pay the five bucks you can choose if you want 192, 320, or FLAC. i guess some people dont give a damn and would rather have whatever takes up the least amount of space/ downloads the fastest.

not sure what they were expecting but 18% aint bad. I think the mistake they made was having a fixed price--shoulda made it optional. some people might have paid a buck or two instead of nothing and others might have paid 10, 15, even 20 bucks to show their support

i share the same opinion on awkward when he said trent's fans probably downloaded for free to test it out. his hardcore fans paid no doubt. otherwise i enjoy the album, select tracks more than others, but it was worth my 5$. one thing i didnt like about it was the track order, i was listening today and thought it would have had a lot moar impact if the stronger songs towards the end were distributed moar evenly. most of the last tracks were fragile instrumental outtakes... if only we could get an instrumental version of the album as well.

giving away things doesnt pay and getting paid is not what you should expect when you are giving away. i was saddened when trent started getting emo about it because i respected him for doing what i figured was a big FU to the big labels. o well, rebellion rarely pays off so do it for principle.
