There's quite a bit of routing capabilities in it, not quite as full as a full on modular deal like Tassman or something, but I'm strugglign to figure out what it is you want here. If you want it to be easy to use it's not going to get any more complex than Absynth or Massive, and if you want it to have insane infinite sound warping possibilities, it's going to have to be modular and complex and thus require quite a bit of learning. no your'e right about learning, I don't mind learning how a modular synth works, sounds fun. I just don't want to go down the road my friend went with CSound in order to get interesting, wicked, etc. sounds. kcinsu
well, csound and max and reaktor are certainly the extreme end of that... getting really carried away with programming... BUT... wicked sounds aren't really easy to make, or else everyone would be making them, and then they wouldnt be so wicked anymore. Guest transfer
Kcinsu said: massive is nothing like reason... what makes you think they are related? I don't know. I just spent a few years working with Reason and I'm tired of it. I want something that is solid, something that makes you feel good when you're making music with it. When I used to make music with Reason no matter what I did I alsways felt lame. heheh Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/28874-synthesis-question/page/2/#findComment-610889 Share on other sites
kcinsu
reaktor might not be a bad choice.... it comes with loads of premade synths for you to use right away, and also gives you flexibility to learn and make your own over time. what are you going to be sequencing with btw? Guest transfer
Yeah Reaktor might do the trick. I was just looking for something good for about 250 (dollars). But I guess Icould always try and get an academic version of Reaktor, since I'm going to school. I use Cubase SX Edited December 7, 2007 by transfer Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/28874-synthesis-question/page/2/#findComment-610892 Share on other sites

Guest transfer
I take back the Reason being lame statement. I've been messing around with Reason rewired to Cubase, for thirty minutes, and it it's actually pretty cool.
