Anthony Gonzalez worked with Ewan Pearson on the new material, who has worked with The Rapture and Ladytron, as well as Ken Thomas who has worked with both Sigur Ros and Cocteau Twins in the past.

Saturdays = Youth is destined for an April 15th release via Mute Records.

"Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts" was fucking awesome but the band went downhill with "Before The Dawn Heals Us". Let's hope the upcoming album will own.

I think had planned to release this first. He doesn't have a date set (or maybe even tracks recorded for it) for the second vol.

i like it too

So I don't think this lives up to before the dawn heals us for me, I like some of it a lot though. Maybe its a grower.

The first two tracks are pretty nice, then it sags for a little. A few of the final tracks are decent also. A lot of it reminds me of Tears for Fears. He really nails those eighties harmonies, but as usual the lyrics can be overly sentimental/maudlin. The vox treatments are prety cool. I don't know, I'll need to listen more.

First 2 tracks are good. Then yes, it's pretty decent afterwards. Not bad

i've listened to it maybe 50 times, i like it a lot ... especially couleurs and graveyard girl

didn't like it..couldn't even finish listening to it till the end. and i really love "before the dawn heals us".

I was pretty impressed with this. "kim & jessie" and "couleurs" were probobly my highlights, some people may disagree but I thought the ambient track at the end was a pretty descent way to end the album

Every album by M83 has an ending track that lasts more than 10 minutes. That is ridiculous. Anyway, I really like Saturdays = Youth! :smiling:
