Anthony Gonzalez worked with Ewan Pearson on the new material, who has worked with The Rapture and Ladytron, as well as Ken Thomas who has worked with both Sigur Ros and Cocteau Twins in the past.

 

Saturdays = Youth is destined for an April 15th release via Mute Records.

The first two tracks are pretty nice, then it sags for a little. A few of the final tracks are decent also. A lot of it reminds me of Tears for Fears. He really nails those eighties harmonies, but as usual the lyrics can be overly sentimental/maudlin. The vox treatments are prety cool. I don't know, I'll need to listen more.

Every album by M83 has an ending track that lasts more than 10 minutes. That is ridiculous. Anyway, I really like Saturdays = Youth! :smiling:
