i think "the old man smiled" is a burroughs line, actually

yeah, heathen earth is an amazing album. the last track, "painless childbirth" is such a brilliantly bizarre and fitting end to that record.

indeed. i love the fact that they call it 'painless childbirth' too. it fits for a reason i cant explain

now that im thinking about it, it could have been some kind of hypnosis tape to help relieve the pain of childbirth, but i still think its a cool title

hehehe, I only ever had a copy of that album on cd, and I remember tracks 1-8(or maybe 9, can't remember exactly how many tracks were on that album) being blank, then they shoehorned the Adrenaline/Subhuman single onto the end(not that I'm bitching, those are two of TG's greatest tracks).

I'd still really love to see the video of that performance, I know it was filmed...

i found the video on emule 3 or 4 years back. its really great stuff
