Lots and lots of Murcof

What's Remembranza like?

It's the best album I've bought all year! It's not exactly a happy album, since it's dedicated to his mother who I suppose is dead, unless he just really hates his mother and made some tracks that reminded him of her.

No seriously, it's fucking beautiful and definitely his best so far and it's on sale on Boomkat right now:

really?

i've seen mucof live, and while the production was deeply awesome,

all the tracks sounded the same.

same tempo, same instrumentation (man that guy loves his string swells)

i just found it boring (though well produced.)

Remembranza is a lot more classic and smooth whereas Martes is a lot more electronic and glitchy. It's true that his tracks sound the same, but they have such a great flow, buildups, and such beautiful strings that I just can't help loving each single track. It's just like Jan Jelinek - the tracks sound a lot alike but the flows are absolutely brilliant.
