Autechre Quaristice Music for Adverts?

I do love this album but as some people have mentioned its like a mish mash of parts over the years. It got me thinking about the Black Dog's -Music for Adverts, because that seemed to have half finished ideas etc..

Maybe this is the closest we have come to hearing Sean and Robs solo works?

This is strangely the most un Autechre album they have released to date yet it is also AUtechre in every way.

interesting.. to me it sounds like they're progressing more towards the 'prog-electronic music' sound that they hinted at with sublimit or maphive6.1.. a lot of the tracks change completely by the end.

I agree completely. Early days I'll grant you, but this is NOT what I was expecting from Ae, and I'm all the more excited for that. My first impression makes me think of Minidisc in some ways, but I'd expect to get flamed for that and will probably change my mind with more listens.
