Untilted: Best to Worst

The first three are the best thing that happened to music. I don't listen to augmatic disport and iera at all. Perhaps I should give them another chance.

Liking Fermium but not Augmatic is almost unbelievable.

Yeah this crossed my mind too - those 4 tracks are just tight as fuck. One advantage of having the vinyl - there's your superlative untilted EP right there on disc 1. I think I'll have to go and play it right now.

i played this through in it's entirety

didn't have to lift the needle to skip tracks.

Untilted gets the oscillik vote of excellence

Top album. There's only one track I aint keen on (not sure which one), though I doubt it's bad enough to warrant getting up and moving the stylus.

LCC is awesome

The groove in fermium can decimate the universe if it wants. Give that thing 2 measures and it's all gone.

Untilted is actually my favourite album, full stop. Playing it in the car on a long trip is heaven. Opening four tracks are behemoth-like. The initial attraction was how well the tracks deconstruct themselves and turn inside out, most obviously in the case of Augmatic Disport, but more importantly, Untilted feels like a very interactive experience, like your plugging in to a machine and undergoing some transformation process. You really get deep within this album, and ride every second. It's just plain exciting! A fantastic experience.

Fermium is a middling track, but is placed well in the context of the album, following Augmatic-Iera, and before The Trees starts to playfully bring the wicked back. Infact, The Trees is a fraction away from LOL for its entire length, but manages to keep it together.

This order could change at any time really.
