i finally got sick of fucking with partitions and decided to run under wubi

and it's very nice, very responsive. they should put a label saying STEP 1: APT-GET MEDIBUNTU on the cd, lol

and these desktop widget thingies are nice too.

my last linux box was a 386 running damnsmalllinux as a router/firewall, and the one before that was a sluggish P2 running red hate linus.

so this is actually liek a lovely cool shower. it detected everything straight off the bat, the only things needed were a minor hack to stabilise my wireless connection and some automounting of drives in fstab. lovely.

incidentally, how do i hide the widgets from the taskbar? which conf is that shit in?
