i went to sleep at ~3am, so i only heard the first 6 hours. for how much longer did it go on? I WANNA HEAR IT

I managed to capture 12 hours 37 seconds! = 500+ mb

Sucks that there was no way to grab it from the absolute start, but I think my rip picks up only a few seconds in.

so where is it? did you rip the stream directly or audio?

Kaen has been streamripping it from the very beginning, he told me.

He'll provide the download afterwards. What will be the better medium to share such a big file? Torrents (like on That Other Site™.com their torrent section)? Or sites like massmirror.com / sharebee.com ? Or just splitted in parts and making it available with the WATMM download manager? (will watmm have enough gigabytes traffic available?)

It was a direct rip using Winamp + streamripper plugin, so no loss in quality. The stream was 96kbps/mono, good but not great.

Like I said I don't think it was possible to capture it from the absolute beginning (though I'd be happy if someone proved me wrong!) Since it starts partway through the first song, I loaded it into mp3directcut to apply a fade-in at the beginning (lossless operation).

Lemme know if/how I should disseminate this shit or if we just want kaen's to be the definitive version (the latter is prolly better given that my upload speeds here are total ass)

don't know how exactly these things work, but i can look it up. i'm on it

if i had the file here i could run a tracker, otherwise it's no point, just use some private site's tracker

I did the same thing at home (for the first 6 hours) using Adobe Audition and the "Record all you hear button".

This'll take a while to download 792.6MB :)

No it won't. This version will be of worse quality than the original stream (96 kbps mono) since it's been encoded/compressed a second time (96kbps mono -> wav -> VBR mp3)

PS: I still think most of the people won't hear any difference in a blind test between the vbr encoded or the streamripped one. Saying one is much worse and audibly a lot different, is pure nonsense! :)

Was anybody listening around 1AM (UK time)? There was some really good stuff that sounded like extended versions of their own tracks but I'm not geeky enough to know for definite so I'd really like to know what it was.

Uploading this is proving to be a pain in the ass, fuck you Eircom. I'll prolly just leave my laptop on overnite and hopefully by morning kokoon will have it.
