Explain then, why the email says "CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD YOUR DIGITAL GOODS"

And I have received no further email? Are you Trent Reznor, since you seem to know so much?

I wish Trent would do another full-on instrumental electronic album, sans soundtracks, and his wife.  The good stuff from Ghosts still gets a spin in my car from time to time.

Rubin your wish came true

Sorry, Atticus tripped over all these patch cables and managed to knock the server offline.

These took my iTunes collection past 13000 items and 100GB. Pretty packed Friday too with things like new LPs from Pearl Jam, Dua Lipa, Chats, etc. plus the Ae Mixlrs.

Also discovered today that you can download 3 songs a week for keeps from the eMusic library offering Freegal. Lots of old CD single remixes on there and albums I'd otherwise probably pick up used on CD (even if it takes a few weeks to accrue the downloads, you can stream 5 hours a day in the meantime). Lots of these never make it to the physical library shelves (for borrow/rip).

I never seem to have gotten around to II-IV after picking up the free Ghosts I portion on release day in 2008.

had a stressful day as we all have, I'm going to have a cold beer and then half a pint of Tanqueray No.10, tonic and lime and blast this shit

first Ghosts sessions are tip-top once you separate the wheat from the chaff (the process of which is all part of the fun)

you can listen to all the ideas germinating for their soundtrack work

cheers ?

Thanks for the Google links Roo. I never got any luck from the official site. So far, I'm mega pleased with long run times and cinematic scope. Leave it to Tront n' Attaboy to properly soundtrack the end.

Had a skim of a few tracks yesterday and sounded as quality as the 2008 stuff. The new Pearl Jam Gigaton exceeded my expectations, so that is annexing my listening at the moment.

Yeah, I sort of stopped listening to Pearl Jam in early 2000's, but listened to their last few in my van recently.  They've gotten a lot better!  Like, really solid rock albums.  Looking forward to to hearing the new one.  Weird to be posting about Pearl Jam in this day and age.  I'd say they've become highly underrated, oddly enough.

Also, Trent was clearly browsing the Bad Witch thread, which is why this happened.  Tront pls.

Yeah, they've become a very either/or proposition it seems nowadays. If you buy-in, you'll probably end up chasing down all their discography and joining the cult so to speak and finding them the ideal of a rock band. I got into them in my last few years of high school through Rearviewmirror & Avocado on their release, and steadily through the years have fallen in love with most of their albums in turn along with periods of disinterest. They are legitimately one of those artists you don't fully get until you've appreciated a variety of their releases. Or you can just regard them as a boring past-it pseudo-grunge band with maybe as much as 2-3 albums worth remembering/tolerating (for the music nerds) and much the same for the approving casuals who like the idea of them as long as it doesn't mean being forced to regularly listen to bargain-bin looking stuff like Binaural or No Code.

My love for bands such as Radiohead, Crowded House, Wilco, the Bad Seeds, etc. is well beyond that of Pearl Jam, but there is something about the latter as a career body of work that you can't really get anywhere else. Most of their albums being in that too-acclaim-or-not-too-acclaim muted response territory presents a same-old barrier to hype for some I guess.

Well I thought V:Together was an endurance test. Not into it at all. Hopefully it's not the cheerful volume because if that's the case, the other one must be seventh-circle of Hell fucking depressing

I've just watched 2 episodes of Hitler's Circle of Evil and that seems like fruity lemonade compared to listening to V

Hope We Can Again with its John Carpenter doomy synth and the ambient drones was my pick of the crop
