New Album?

When is a new BoC album going to come out? It's been a bit since their last release (2006). I really want to hear more. Alos, is there any news on a planned boxed release of their older stuff such as Old Tune's?

Since this forum stirs up more controversy than the others (so far, and don't think I don't have my eye on you, µ-Ziq Subforum Members laughing.png), Skytree suggested some general guidelines to go by to prevent some of the shlock being posted here (intentionally or not):

* Please check Fredd-E's pages if you have any basic questions about BoC releases, individual tracks, etc. If you're relatively new to the band, chances are, your question has already been answered. Feel free though to ask questions if you've perhaps though of something nobody else has or noticed something new. BoC loves to hide clues for their fans, as we all know.

* Any users caught intentionally posting fraudulent material for the purpose of misleading other users will be warned, and possibly banned if the behavior continues. This includes threads about BoC's hair colour, what they eat, what cars they drive, or how many times they must clear their browser cache after reading this forum and some of it's posts/threads.

* If you are a long-term user of this forum, please do your best to be respectful of new posters. We understand that this may be difficult at times, but remember, you were probably just as naive once, too.

* If you think the Mp3s of [insert any pre-Twoism BoC release] you found on the P2P networks are "the real deal" or are curious if they are, please don't bother - any of these releases, if they ever do leak, are going to come from someone on "the inside" and unless you have knowledge of their origins, please don't bother making a thread about it. The odds of finding these rare tracks online are slim to none.

this is good advice, i'd say req'd reading. this is for you squid, and for anyone else who hasn't read it yet.

Probably due to the reasonability of the rest of the post, the first thing I thought of when reading "fan" was in fact a hair-dryer.

@thread: it's already there, inside your right lung (BoC iron-on patch in your pancreas if you're one of the lucky ones)

You just have to listen to the albums in different settings and mindsets until a new album comes out. Like...get a couple friends and have a camp out somewhere in the country, listen to TCH around a campfire, its totally different and much more rewarding than listening to it with headphones in your basement.

xyz sucks. I am so glad BoC realized that, too, and decided to not go down the digital route too far. Look what it's done to Autechre.

Not really getting all the hate on xyz... for the most part I like it, it's just another classic example of a good boc tune hideously not chalked up to its potential.

Its autechre with a hint of boards of canada, it was made while they were still in their early stages. Reminds me of basefree from twoism, not good. XYZ is an alright track for any electronic band, but not why I listen to Boc
