Squee
I'm looking for a simple midicontroller with knobs only. No buttons, no keys, no nothing. I seem to have no luck finding one, so I'm you, WATTEM, please help me find one. Reasonably priced as well. Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/31907-midicontroller/ Share on other sites
ten fingers ten toes
Well, it also has some buttons, but you won't get anything even close to this reasonably priced with more knob action: http://www.zzounds.com/item--BEHBCR2000 Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide ten fingers ten toes's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/31907-midicontroller/#findComment-680744 Share on other sites

kokoon
i'm totally getting two of those BCR2000 and make an awesome sequencer application for them. but the BCR2000 is not exactly "No buttons, no keys, no nothing" Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/31907-midicontroller/#findComment-680912 Share on other sites
Guest Laughable Butane Bob
Hey Kook, if you are going to use the BCRs for sequencing the x0xb0x and have Reaktor 5, you should check out the 64 step sequencer I built that doesn't require 2 BCRs, just switching between the presets on the controller itself. I'll send the file to you Edited March 14, 2008 by Laughable Butane Bob Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/31907-midicontroller/#findComment-680923 Share on other sites
Guest iep
i had a bcr for a bit but it's plasticky with low quality knobs & push buttons. id rather go with blicero's suggestion, the doepfer Drehbank. those are great value but maybe they have too much knobs? Guest iep
yeah whats wrong with a light thin plastic case and knobs that wobble like an ed rush bassline? whats the big deal with push-buttons that don't go downwards but rather in a left-down angle with the sound of cracking plexiglass? on the other hand...those bcr's are almost free nowadays, you might as well pick up a new one if it starts falling apart Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/31907-midicontroller/#findComment-681034 Share on other sites

If the BCR is good enough for Daft Punk's live set its probably good enough to stand up to Squee's bedroom. Probably. Plus the BCR has a lot more preset modes, has a learn function, and displays the exact 0-127 value in the corner. I use that a lot. Guest Idrn
i just snapped one of these up on ebay for £40! i prefer sliders. knobs can be a bit awkward, while sliders can be used more expressively like a crossfader. The behringer bcf same, same price for motorized faders instead of endless rotaries. Guest 277: 930-933
The bcf would suck for controlling parameters such as envelope and filter for example.
