Shit one man, sorry to hear that. Are security strict over there? No chance of you blagging your way in...or maybe getting in with someone over 18?

Scan your passport, alter it digitally making it cyrillic (and yourself older, of course), and then reprint it. Then claim you are the kid the Russian diplomat, and that your passport is back home in Russia. The embassy only required that you bring a scan, so you figured some puny club wouldn't have stricter rules. Talk in a tough-sounding Russian accent. Also forget to say every other verb, it will make you sound more Russian.

That sort of thing happened to me a few times, it sure is frustrating. I turned 18 last December so I am fine with age restrictions now.

The Autechre show here in Seattle is a 21+ show. I turn 21 like 2 weeks before it THANK GOD. I would seriously cut my throat if I wasn't old enough. Anyways, sucks for you man.

The gig in DC is all ages. Although, I think that if you are under 18, you get kicked out at eleven or so.

My mom won't even let me leave Southern California.

Just walk in around 10pm and act cool. Tell em you forgot your ID back in Fresno and that you really need to get in. That or you can try to get in via the Echo itself upstairs, theres a walkway that reaches down to the Echoplex but its usually guarded.

don't worry about it dude. i can't say you really missed much....i mean i suppose it's pretty cool if you like seemingly partially programed improvisations, and nothing you've ever heard before, but its the same kind of thing they've always done, save for the Coachella "DJ set". it was only and hour and my sleeping schedule is so fucked up i was in the back napping through half of it.

actually my ears really perked up every time Rob Hall came on. he actually played the most interesting and entertaining stuff of the whole show and we got really dancing there for a while. Rob was on like three times including after the Autechre.

God bless Graham Massey, but some of the Massonix stuff was just plain bad. he shouldn't have opened with one of the bad ones. the other stuff was either ok or just decent. at one point when one of his tracks crashed i heard some guy yell "Yay! its over!" LOL i had to laugh.
