plaid double figure

a friend just gave me this album, first i've listened to plaid.

am now a fan.

good start

its one of the best albums

try tekkon kinkreet now :)

first plaid i heard as well

zamami.

then i heard rest proof clockwork, and i liked that as well. more laid back

still getting into tekkon kinkreet, its pretty different (but you'd expect it to be i guess)

Seconded. Fuckin Zamami is the shit!

This in my opinion is their most consistent album. All the others have lots of jarringly cheesy tracks that kinda break up the experience for me, but this one flows really well. Was also my first Plaid album, so I agree that it's a good one to start with.

Haven't been too excited about anything they've done since (and partially including) Spokes.

Squance is an amazing song. It's addicting.

lol squance is the only track on that album that I consistently skip... entirely because of the shouting samples in the middle.

great record. there's something not quite right about Assault on Precinct Zero. the notes need to be adjusted toward the end of the main musical hook phrase. if i had a chance to remix it i would. i seem to remember it differently when they played it live in SF 2001 but that could just be me.
