he's not dj-ing basically. if i remember, in his interview (probably, to wire) man said he first of all started mixing records he liked, then gone into producing. so that was a reason for invite probably

Thought I read on dubstepforum that this got delayed until November 11th

Am I the only one who is skeptical that this is going to be anything more than your normal DJ Kicks-type release? If he puts new material on there, dope, but yeah...I just don't see that happening(aside from like maybe some unreleased remix to an already released track or something).

I think each DJ Kicks mix actually has one or more unreleased track from the mixer. So I'd say it's a safe bet that it would have at least one Burial track we haven't heard before. But yeah, I think people are hyping this up way too much and setting themselves up for disappointment. I hope I'm wrong though!

In February 2008 The Independent reported that Burial was an alumnus of south London's Elliott School named William Bevan[5] (another alumnus, Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, said in 2006 that Burial was in the year above him).[6] Burial's page on BMI's Repertoire Search credits all his songs to William Bevan

william bevan is also the name of a london-based funeral director

I have a sneaking suspicion that now Burial's been nominated for the Mercury Music Prize they're holding the release of this album back till the winners announced, I hope I'm wrong because then we'll be waiting till after tuesday 9th September. Rubbish.
