Guest Glass Plate
well, 707 is good and pretty cheap. 505 is good for bending that's close to being it. 606 is boobs good. Guest telikan
Been thinking about getting a 707-- how useful is it compared to the 606? Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34145-crapper-roland-drum-machines/#findComment-728548 Share on other sites

Amen Warrior
626 for under fiddy quid? By the way i dont count 606/707 as crapper drum machines! Guest Glass Plate
626 is pretty stupid unless you want to bend it, a lot of the crappier rolands have bad sounds are no good for syncing with stuff. Guest acridavid
I have a 505. It's great as a MIDI trigger! :P I really never use it, got it for like 20 bucks or something. I think it sounds pretty shit and has.. no options. Really though, a nice MIDI interface for live performing ;) Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/34145-crapper-roland-drum-machines/#findComment-728828 Share on other sites
Guest Diao
I've a 626 along with a 606 and 707, and its a pretty mean combo. I use the 626 for its conga, shaker, tamb, hats, all sorts of stuffs. I had it bent for a while, but then just sampled all the bent sounds I needed and took all the bends out. Its pretty solid, and you can get it for under $100 (~50 quid) easy. I fucking love my HR-16 but I never use it any more. Would let it go for cheap maybe, or would prefer to trade it for similarly amusing gear.
