Squee
Since making this thread I've read Lunar Park and The Informers and it seems that he only has one writing-style. Buh! Guest zaphod
it was very similar to the book. ambiguity posing as meaning. anyway bee sucks, i've decided, after switching between liking and hating him for a long time. he just keeps writing the same shit, over and over and over again. same style, run on sentences mixed with very precise descriptions and detached, nihilistic dialogue. obvious moralizing, non existent characters. glamorama is probably his best book but even that got boring and the characters aren't even remotely interesting. the only saving grace of any of his books is the occasional extremely well written passage, but it's pure style over substance. sneaksta303
Mila Kunis & William Shatner in American Psycho 2 ftw... just caught that shit on cable a month or so ago... didn't know that shit even existed... EDIT: It really is not good but I watched it all the way through, do to my desire of "having" Ms. Kunis. Guest 277: 930-933
I like reading his books, it's like reading a soap. It does give me incredible coke cravings though, but then again what doesn't. Overand
I'm pretty sure the whole "Les Mis" repetition is, outside of a great period detail, in there for the sake of irony since it was a rampantly popular production about impoverished French denizens put on for the enjoyment of wealthy New Yorkers.
