No, I live in Calgary. My point was in Alberta the high paying jobs are common. Calgary's economy is centered around oil and gas, the labourers in Fort Mac need administrative and professional staff in Edmonton and Calgary for the other side of the industry. My fort mac example was simply to illustrate that high paying jobs are readily available anywhere in Alberta.
