What a sleazy backpanel lol

Anyway macs are basically pcs now, they've got Intel's graphics and Core 2 Duo CPUs and all that stuff. Still way not enough bang for the buck though.

"and all that stuff", what other similarities are there? The computers are just built better than the ones from PC world. They're quieter, have features built into them which rack up the price, such as a camera and microphone, they don't need re-boot "at all" (although that's not strictly true, for the many years i've had one i've probably rebooted it twice because of crashing)

The OS and architecture is waaaaay different. For one it looks better and works better, however because Microsoft copy exactly what Apple have done for their previous OS, they look quite similar. Case in point, OS X Tiger and its geeky friend, Vista.

PCs are good for other things, however...

GUYS MACS ARE GOOD FOR MUSIC BECAUSE YOU CANT USE GARAGEBAND ON THE PC LOL.

ONLY PC NERDS USE ABLETON LIVE, REASON, AND CUBASE LMFAO

But its ok if you use those programs on a mac because then you're really cool. And if there is a PC-Only program dont worry just use the windows emulator (you can use windows on the mac because the coolness of the mac cancels out the geekiness of windows, lmfao!!!)

([/sarcasm] for all the actual mac-fanboys from Chris Pirillo's chat room)

EDIT:

Computers in general have changed since the late 80's. There used to be specific computers for specific tasks. Macs where this way, PCs where this way - now the general computer is pretty well rounded and can do a little bit of everything. Saying that PCs are still "just for business" (which, they never where "just for" business. Anyone who knows about MSDOS knows how much of current computer gaming came from those DOS games) is plain elitist ignorance.

What the fuck I'm saying is: Who cares who uses what computer. All I care about is fucking faggots bashing other operating systems because there is a one or two app gain for one OS or the other. Its bullshit.

What I hate most is how nerds size me up by what computer I use. LAME.

You just confessed that you care what nerds think.

Errrr, how exactly? I don't like that fact some people are vegetarians but that doesn't mean I care why they are.

the only reason the mac with the huge apple logo is there, is because Apple recently found out how popular aphex was getting in the "underground" music scene so they decided to cash in on the trend by paying aphex to place that there in all his sets. I believe this was closely followed by the "cool guy uses a mac, loser uses a pc" commercials.

Psychology 101.

You said you hate what they did. Hate is right up there with love as one of those 'caring' emotions. You hate that they judge you, so you care what they think.

Your example is more like you saying that you hate nerds, rather than how they judge you. Physical / metaphysical.

Hurray semantics. :whistling:

No.

The vegetarian example:

I don't like that fact some people are vegetarians but that doesn't mean I care why they are.

How it fits in to me not liking nerds who can only socialise with/though technology:

I don't like it when nerds size me up by what computer I use but that doesn't mean I care what they think of me.

Anyway, I hate mushrooms but that doesn't mean I "care" about what they think, or how they taste (it's the texture I dislike ;) ). To repeat myself, I hate nerds who size me up by what computer I use but that doesn't mean I care what they think of me, I just think its lame for someone to do that. If they were praising me i'd still think it lame because you can't get to know someone by what computer they use, it's a silly as those people who study handwriting or palm readers.

And that, kids, is why psychology can suck my dick :aphexsign:

qft.

PC? MAC? Give a flying f**k. Personal preference, no? I'm still using the Speak and Spell! To return to the post, though, the track is pretty cool.

Yes.

The fact that you 'hate' anything about them or what they are doing is a sign that it bothers you. Hence, you care. In your examples you're just being selective about what you're caring about. <3

If you didn't care it wouldn't be an issue.

Apathetic ftw.

Guest Jumped up Custard

Don't forget that in English the word "hate" has lost its strength, so has love. People say things like "I love toast" but they don't mean that they would give their life for toast, or that they want to settle down with it and begin fathering children.
