how did your artist name come to be?

i'm sick of the old stuff for me, i want something fresh. i don't want peoples opinions., just curious how you came up with your artist name.

i'm almost thinking right now, write an ep or lp and then come up with the name, i hear that's what cornelius does and probably others too

My friend came up with the name for a friend for her upcoming website, but we decided to take the name instead.

Why don't you create a couple of tracks, and based on what they sound like find a name that sums up the sound?

tauboo comes from: i picked up a newspaper to find a music name when i was 14 and found tauboo in a science article, oh and the newspaper was the daily mail

Some friends and I use the name Electric Welland, the Welland is the river that flows through our town.

Ah I have Dpek since elementary school... We were little fuckers, we freestyled and stuff and I just became Dpek. Pek means Baker in slovenian, D stands for The, no reason for this name, I just felt like Dpek... Also, Dpek can be read as The Pack.

I came up with acp as a name to use on counter strike, not even realizing the acronym had anything to do with guns. I was just trying to think of a quick sequence of letters that didn't mean anything, and then I kept using the name for other things. Later that day I think I realized I had seen the letters on some weights that my friend had, it wasn't even random.

The Televisor is the name of the first machine John Logie Baird made which produced moving picture, in other words the television. Hes my ancestor and we share birthdays.

10th grade english, we were reading some shit novel that people seem to think is important, such as Great Expectations, but i don't remember if it was actually Great Expectations, and one of the vocab words was choleric. i quite liked the word, how it sounded, what it meant.

at the time i was making some retarded angsty maze website that 16 year olds that love radiohead make, and i was making lots of 2-color black and white animated gifs, and one of them i decided should have mock opening credits so i slapped "choleric productions presents" in there without thinking much about it. i'd post it, but i'm at work. and actually it would be perfect for the head exploding thread too. fuck.

i've been using it ever since, and i still like it.

vodor's not my artist name, but i shall explain it also, because i'm full of myself: vodor was one of the AI opponents in Magic Carpet. AWESOME GAME. it still is, to this day. Magic Carpet 2 not quite so much, but it was still good. it's just screaming for a modern sequel too, and that would be cool even though the beautiful and simple gameplay mechanics would no doubt be completely bastardized, with some POS plot tacked on with lame cutscenes and dialog and scripted events. FUCK MODERN GAMES.
