There are lots of cool Tuss-like mp3s compiled within a nice web-page. If you go to the forum rules page, one of the full stops in there contains a link to it (but I can't remember which one.)

Thank u very much for the info, is it the one that boris posted? the one with unreleased and fake tuss tracks?

Go read the rules and find out yourself.

all this talk has gotten me thinking, maybe i should write some tuss tracks.

in the meantime, here's a BOC track i wrote.

i would try to write a vsnares track, but i'm not up to biting the heads off of chipmunks at this stage of my musical career.

When i wrote this post i just was looking for a really good tuss like track really, not someone pretending to be afx. I love the style so much that i just need something fresh similar to the style, as the 2 real releases are just not enough and the wait 4 the next one is a pain. Vibert stuff quenchs the thirst abit and tipper as well, just looking 4 more. It cant be 100% impossible to do but it is close i know.

oh, i was just kidding, really. i actually find it hard to set out to do anything in particular, i tend to get distracted and go off on my own tangent. more fun that way.

however, once a track is all recorded, i will say... that's a ____ track. ____ could be BOC, AFX, an abstract adjective like 'morose', or a more complicated expression like '

super low-down cave troll funk'. there are always INFINITE ____'s for every track... any number of ways to summarize it. that's why summarizing can't be done by computers, and why computers suck at categorizing music.

tuss tracks are not just one material. tuss tracks are a unique blend of flavors that combine synergisticly for ear candy magic. i can recommend music that uses the some of the same flavors as the tuss, but nothing else tastes quite like it.

how about mike oldfield? ladytron? totally different sound, but i find myself enqueueing them before/after tuss tracks...

Oh no i wasnt aming that at u. I agree With wat u sed. I also think artists and styles gives direction to writing music. It may often lead to new and original works and often may not. Copying styles isnt always a bad thing either i dont believe cos it would most probably end up in something completely different.

Yeah i know mike oldfield, havent heard of ladytron so i will check it out. Cheers

regarding ladytron: most people seem to prefer their first album, but i like the second more. the third is kind of a miss, but some good tracks. the new one is good, haven't quite made up my mind yet.

in general, their lyrics are magic, and the sound makes me think of using 80s computers in a dark room.
