i'm surprised by the amount of votes i've got though. :smiling:

you always seem to underestimate your own work. i've been listenin to a cd i made a couple of weeks ago for the car..has a track on it that ive been digging but had forgotten who it was (player in car has no cd text). turns out it was that lalandec track. so there.

:big fan of teh'boo musics:

incidentally - at the risk of inciting fire and brimstone again - i note that there are 6 entries all polled closely together on 7,8 or 9 votes each. it seems a shame to go to the bother of putting these out on ep and not including all the popular choices....5 or 6 would make a well rounded collection that would sit well in anyone's playlist for the day. you kind of see what i'm saying max?

yeah by the way tauboo, maybe you should just get it over with and send a freakin demo to toytronic or somesuch? you got talent man.

you mean everyone should have just as much votes as tracks are here ? because if there were 8 votes it would be a shame to left out the other ones... just because we had a vote for 60% ...its like unhuman to leave others out ? every piece is a kind of art. i cannot treat them equal. but i know you had the chance to vote for another 3rd one, but you choose to vote yourself :-)... so your and the other 2 are the best 3 for you.

i am really glad this remix competition turns more then 3 out in front of others... that means the top votes here are really top notch. and it looks like these are 6 or 7 ... but i really don't want a 6 or 7 track remix single anymore... the reason is, that the protocoll of downloads from retropublik didnt turn out the vertical hold to get the needed attraction. it really looks to me... like more then 3 or 4 are kind of distracting people that don't know them... and the competition and this voting poll is made to turn out the best couple... so that the others get the greatest quality out of it.

do you really think 7 remixes would have the same amount of interest into them all ? and why 7 ? because the other art is shit ? just because THESE are good - and the others are not ? in that case i could turn of the competition act as such and say "every good one will come into the remix single" ... and who chooses ? you ? this poll ??? this poll is a board related social act. its not really turning only quality aspects on. and i bet there's no real chance to get something somewhere to do this.

but for your interest.... i think all those mixes with a lot of votes here are nearly all very good. yes. my 4th vote would have been gone to cubus and the 5th to mosca... and still i could have voted more after that.

and i like to add, that i didnt calculate that much mixes (ignoring my own 3).

for me this remix comp shows the quality of new city 16, darren - and all the interest on him.

btw. i am a fan of tauboo also, but my request to get him on retropublik was answered a bit too engrish for me. i couldnt squeeze out if he would like to or not.

Robin Hood: And you're a robber too. How long have you been a robber?

Wally: Four foot one.

Robin Hood: Good lord! Jolly good. Four foot one? Well that-that-that is-is- a long time, isn't it?

btw... sorry if those things got out of hand here...but on the one hand some things had to be cleared up, and on the other i am just burned out a bit these days. really. i am sorry for any misunderstanding on every side - but still i do not fear anything. i feel everything is alright. ok ? :-) its meant for good... so who won: everybody. things are coming clear. that's good for everyone i think.

so who won: everybody.

indeed. sometimes it's good when everyone wins.

competition and electronic music make bad bed fellows sometimes.

competition is needed for most quality aspects.

on the other hand WATMM networks has so many outstanding artists flying around - and this competition once again cleared up how much we need to investigate energy to get 'em ALL up!

i made a decision now what will be:

we will have a first remix single containing:

*Cubus

*Rubens

*Mosca

and a second one later on containing

1KB

Tauboo

Asymmetrical Head

Squee

don't worry if things take some time, retropublik will have lots of things to offer in the next future - possibly we will have a new beta-login for our artists from tomorrow on (please don't nail me, if problems occur tonight to us, and things are not running tomorrow. we had to scratch parts of the work twice in the last 3 weeks)

this is internets. have fun.

i lost it. dunno why.

well - in fact recently checked the thread myself ... and i think it's the "rough mix by Craig Dillan" ...i renamed the tracks based on their id3 trackinfo... and this should be equal to what you saved with "impakt". however the original link in the thread to kaen.org is dead.

the only one i really missed was the _re_mix.wav

and its only LOUD HARSH SINE. i had my headphones on now for checking it... and possibly i have an earcrash by this one. dont listen to it yourself.
