i have a bos br-8 digital 8 track i only use it for giutar tracks.

i was wondering how many tracks you can record onto a 4 track at once. i assume 3?

4 but then you cant record any further. unless you mix it down to 2 onto another tape deck. but yeah im assuming you suggest 3 so that you can bounce them down onto the 4th to free them up again. you could do this forever at the expense of clarity

some 4tracks may have say 6 inputs which means you can record 6 inputs at once (if you want to record a group) cause you can route the 2 auxilliary tracks onto any 2 of the others
