I like the drums in 4. Its basically only kicks, with maybe a snare or short clap layered on top of them. And the analord stuff is probably made with old hardware :stuart:

This might be a stretch, but I seriously think RDJ used a UPIC for the intro sounds to windowlicker. I heard a UPIC demo and it sounded remarkably similar.

i guess this thread leads to a, imo, more important question: did afx used (use) a tracker for all his drum programming needs?

those snare rushes in 4 can be done easily on a tracker :\

snare rushes can be pretty easily done on anything

He uses automated CV gate controlled (inverted of course) ducking across 36 individual bands of parametric EQ for mastering and prefers to use a Cintiq monitor to tweak settings.

I obtained this information through navigating my intuition.
