Quantum of Solace

i love the old 60's and 70's bond films apart from george lazenby(sp?) who was..what was the point of him actually?..

sean connery and roger moore was badasses, smooth and quirkyt one liners galore.

timothy dalton's 80's bond was the last good bond films (you cant go wrong with duran duran singing the movie titles). after licence to kill they should of fucking stopped.

goldeneye and the other 2 i havnt even seen or remmeber the name of.

pierce brosnan was the by far the worst propper bond of all time. since then the franchise has plummeted down to who the fuck cares anymore? it makes me cringe to see bond tie in with modern technology and freewalking? in CR.

anyways the best bond moment for me as roger moore skiing and jumping off a cliff and open up his union jack parachute. or the underwater fight in thunderball.

i dont think goldeneye was thaaaaat bad. everything that followed was shocking. i still remember some ridiculous scene with bond skiing on snow or something with this massive cgi laser destroying everything behind him, and he's trying to get away. sooo bad!

i also enjoyed casino royale, despite it's flaws. they could've either fixed these flaws and turned the series back in the right direction with more awesomeness, or disregard what actually made the film good and make something lame, which is apperantly what this new one is.

i don't even know who 'they' are. whoevers responsible for these new bond films, i guess. oooh, how i hate 'them'.

James Bond is brilliant end of story.

Goldeneye is my favorite actually. and the N64 game is a classic.

Fuck me the new one is a piece of shit.

Shit writing, bland acting, gaping plotholes, poorly directed action sequences, and the crappest villain in cinema history. And once again, david arnold has outdone himself to produce the shittest score yet. I can't understand how he keeps getting work, his music is bloody awful. Why they didn't get rid of him when they relaunched the franchise i'll never know.

They should've canned the franchise after Dalton. Casino Royale was a breath of fresh air but all hope for quantum of solace went out of the window when i first saw the poster:

When one of the O's for 007 comes from the word "Of" you know they're fucking scraping the barrel. What the fuck was quantum of solace meant to mean anyway? I assumed that would be explained to me in the film, but alas.

What a disaster.

i haven't seen the film, but isn't Quantum the name of the evil criminal organisation the bad guy works for?

daniel craig is a good bond IMO, way to go concerning the amount of hair on his chest though TBH

James bond (books and movies) is one of those things that will go on forever, here2stay.

he's a total butterface.

went and saw this last night and thought it was reasonably meh - daniel craig was very good, but the story/plot was shit. some good action scenes, but far too many scenes of people wildly firing unrealistic sounding machine guns from the windows of cars and miraculously missing people. the hand to hand fight scenes were good, but no way near as stylish as the bourne films. bit of a let down really.

This clusterfuck of a movie could not have been worse or more boring. How do you put Jeffrey Wright in a Bond movie and give him fuck all to do?
