so acid, techno, rock, metal ( black, death, grind, nu..) pop, electro, indie, 'electronic music', dance, trance, house, jazz, blues, ambient, country, rap, hip hop, grime, dub, punk, breakcore, reggae, trip hop, ska, funk, soul, shoegaze, & hardcore hasnt been done over and over and over and over?

who cares if its been done before everythings been done you tool, it doesnt stop people making music they love and keepin it goin.

You can't use the same beat that other people have used before because that makes YOU look like a fool for using a beat that some one has used before, even if THEY didn't make it themselves and just, well used it, well like you have done.....you know? yeah!!

calm down jonny boy, sure most things have been done before. the reason for my reply was that you mention on the myspace that you'd like to release a 12" of this stuff. i don't personally have a problem with what you're doing here, but i'm pretty much just saying what someone at a label might tell you. plus you need to tighten up those acapellas hehe.

also re: breaks, i'm sure it's possible to make jungle that is still relevant using a breakbeat that isn't one of the big 3 or 5 breaks that "junglists" use.

your clearly not that into the ragga jungle scene because this sort of ragga jungle is being released all the time, its not about bringing anything new its about keeping it alive!!!!

I was being sarcastic towards the other replies, I agree with what you said mate. maybe it didnt come across that way, i was very very drunk. now im very very rough.. gah

oh ok sorry i'll stay out of this thread, i forgot there are still genres of electronic music that pride themselves on being un-original.

im gonna have to add my 2 pence here, just something I noticed,

(1) that most of the time when ppl try and spam their "original" track that has "no breaks used elsewhere" it usually is boring and/or a waste of everyone's time

(2) theres a reason ppl like to use the same breaks, and it's not to be unoriginal

of course if you pride yourself in being "against the grain" then you probably don't want to use those breaks/sounds/effects - but then you'' most likely end up in (1)

only ppl with true hardcore talent can make their own breaks and get away with it, but everyone likes to say they do, and pretend that their music kicks ass as a result, in fact, aphex twin is the only person who comes to mind who actually succeeds, the rest is a bunch of shitbag drum and bass and pretentious trendy imac music that I would not touch with a 10 ft turntable needle

i only posted this coz i thought some jungle heads here might like to hear it.. obviously not, you lot are too obsessed with trying to make something new you just dismiss anything thats not new.

also having put id like to release a 12" doesnt mean I think its fuckin amazing so it should be pressed to vinyl and everyone is gona love and buy it coz its the next best thing, i just want a vinyl released on a small jungle label for a personal achievement, i dont want any money out of it.

an online dnbjungle station. a DJ/producer called D.R.S messaged me asking for some of my tracks to play on it because he plays a show on it every 4th wednesday. how do you like them apples.
