yeah having listened to these tracks some i can honestly say there's really no point to them... i mean within a few minutes i can see that you know how to pitch shift an amen loop and strictly adhere to all of the conventions of the music, but really there's no variance or any sort of perspective worthy of any sort of continued patronage with or without money being intertwined with the mission statement of it all.

i mean i understand the whole "for the love" angle and all of that but in the end it just comes off as a pointless rehash that midaswell be made by me you shitmat or anyone really... it sounds old and dated and really i think this is more of a stepping stone for you to think "ok i can do this now what else can i do?!@" than something you present to people as being worthy of their time.

That music is kept alive by the fact that exists on recordable media, and therefore doesn't require wave after wave of people who have mastered the genre's vocabulary to repeat it.

Also you can find examples of people saying 'everything's been done' in the 19th century and probably earlier. Everything hasn't been done although that argument has.

With that being said, I personally don't believe that every track someone produces needs to be loaded with novel ideas and whatnot. That strikes me largely as a form of consumerism rather than art appreciation. I think your track is good as I would define a good jungle track, in that it conforms well to all the elements that make up 'jungle' as a category of music. It can be wearying, however, to hear the same things over and over again - and over time it can just be difficult to appreciate new tracks that fall into a genre of music that's now almost 20 years old and had fairly narrow boundaries to begin with.

I don't think that there's anything wrong with not being a great innovator though, and really - Shitmat isn't exactly breaking boundaries either.
