unreleased music on plaid myspace

Although it's fanboi-run, I believe Plaid do have a fair bit to do with it (remember it's linked from the Plaid site), and the guy also uploaded Bodyclocker within a bulletin a while back, which presumably Ed and Andy didn't object to.

Not a bad track on first listen, maybe a little predictable but fuck it, it's new Plaid. And the actual bulletin is pretty encouraging as well. Thanks for the heads up, I hardly check MySpace nowadays and probably wouldn't have realised that 'Diamonds' was even there.

its not new plaid (unless "CATS" mis-dated his uploads), it was created in/around 2001. and if its predictable, go ahead and use your musical talents, i'd love to hear how you sound.

the myspace page is a fan page, but yes, the person that updates it is in contact with plaid enough.

.

By 'predictable' I didn't mean 'not good', in fact far from it. Just familiar-sounding. Now I've listened to it a few times I fucking love it. And well-spotted, CATS put up so many files a while back I got knackered wading through them after about four hours. Whenever it was recorded this version is 'new' to my ears and obviously to those of other people posting in this subforum.

Yeah, same here. Plus I haven't seen this listed - or even referenced - anywhere else. It may be that nothing's actually been released, per se.

In the meantime, at least the Myspace MP3 isn't all that low-rez, and it's possible to keep a decent quality capture of it. It's still always nice to have the real thing, though.

Edit: I may have found a way to grab a copy of the actual Book/CD, which *do* appear to have been released, after all. There's no direct way to do it from the site, though, so I'll post back with a procedure once I know better how it's done.

Unfortunately, you can't purchase the Book/CD by the usual means anywhere on that particular site. You need to e-mail Marko Gabrijelčič - the man responsible for the project (or, at least I think that's who he is) at gamarko@gmail.com. Send him your shipping details and he'll e-mail you back a document that you can supposedly use to transfer funds to the project's bank account, following which they'll ship the goods to you. I'll admit I haven't yet muddled through the procedure for performing that particular duty, but I've also been extremely busy at work and haven't been able to get away long enough to try. I'm planning to give it a shot on Monday, so I can post back once I know just how it works.

Nice links, Ernsy. I've remained unspoiled so far, but I'll admit that I really like what I just heard.

According to Plaid's site, the Robovox track is 'Diamonds' (although I imagine everybody's worked that out by now).
