screenwipe's spinoff, newswipe, is now on the iplayer, eps 1 and 2. i thought i'd be lame, but it's actually excellent.

Agreed I was thinking he was just being lazy but the Jade Goody bit was so well done it should be shown in schools.

man ep 3 was great

the stuff on ohdearism was gold.

I put it on with a load of stoned people in the room and they got a bit freaked out by it.

"This is some heavy shit" is the exact quote, but again was a great episode.

I am watching all of these, just watched episode 3. Excellent, scary stuff..

Newswipe is very good at bridging the gap between entertainment and thought-provoking documentary.

Newswipe, so far, has been consistently better than the last series of Screenwipe, which I thought was running out of ideas a bit in its weekly "themed episode" format.

its definitely a must, the acting in the film is out of this world and the script is hot shit.

I was the same thinking the format might restrict him but it seems to have worked really well so far. Nice to see someone taking an honest look on media output too, studied stuff like this in a levels and was fascinated by it.
