Autechre Autechre/Radiohead

I know that Aphex doesn't like Radiohead, I know BOC weren't overly keen on their eariler stuff but I ain't heard any thoughts from AE on them? I am intrigued to know, I have a feeling Rob and Sean won't like them as much as Thom likes AE.

Autechre were a great inspiration during the Kid A/Amnesiac era. I think Thom Yorke is the one particularly into them. I heard they even played some Autechre before a show while preparing the stage.

We know Radiohead are fans of Autechre... the question was if the feeling was mutual.

i remo some recent interview posted here. there was kinda blitz-question action. you can find it by using search function up to right angle of the screen checking for 'stockhausen timbaland'.

I figured but I wasn't sure.

Off topic but over the last year I really got into all sorts of Hip Hop and I think it may be partially attributed to how similar some electronic music is to Hip Hop (Autechre, BoC) at least from an instrumental perspective

yeoh i pretty think they use opportunity to do a long show for personal purpose of re-playing/remembering inspirational stuff back in the kinda naive days

Yea I remember that interview now.

But yea, I am one of the biggest ae fans around. But I still think that OK Computer and Kid A are phenomenal albums. I also liked In Rainbows, but not nearly as much as OK Computer and Kid A. The rest of Radiohead is pretty not actually at all good at least of the radioheads I have heard. lol did I lose some internetz cred lol?

Radiohead is less gay than NIN although I probably own more NIN albums lol. I keep thinking that Trent will release another version of the Downward Spiral/Further Down the Spiral/Closer remixes lol.

i've got an old interview somewhere (around confield) with mentions of radiohead (t.yorke said he sent a fan letter to Ae) & Autechre said something like the old radiohead songs were better than the new "electronic" ones.

that's true...

i think yorke's attempt at making electronic music is laughable. his solo album is terrible. thank god for in rainbows... i thought radiohead were dead
