perunamuusi
i used to like writing beats in soundforge. i still do but lots of things on my soundforge stopped working about a year ago and i havent sorted it out. i agree "that" sound is reaching saturation point. its ironic how something that should supposedly stand out as different to all the quantised electronic music in the world (nearly all of it) should so quickly sound the same as itself in every track you hear this sort of thing. i can't listen to crying over pros any more (not that that is exactly this sort of thing). anyway Rustie is shit Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/40394-hudson-mohawke/#findComment-889168 Share on other sites

Already i hear a lot of bedroom producers and up and coming musicians doing this sound in my area. There seems to be a little pack of blighters cranking out stuff at the minute. awepittance
one thing i will say i admire about this type of music is i cant imagine anybody dancing to it in clubs, its just way too fucking off kilter and collagey sounding, not specifically this song but other stuff ive heard from Rustie and Hudson mohawke. I have to give the music credit for somehow breaking into the trendy circles. Its probably the most rhythmically challenged music ive seen gain traction in dance clubs. Example: i walked into a smoke shop in berkeley last week and they were playing some really staggered unquanitized sounding stuff i asked what it was and the girl behind the counter said 'HudMo' i was like what? and she repeated 'Hudson Mohawke' Thanks Haha Confused Sad Facepalm Burger Farnsworth Big Brain Like × Quote Hide awepittance's signature Hide all signatures Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/40394-hudson-mohawke/#findComment-889269 Share on other sites

Guest greenbank
i've heard some pretty cool stuff by rustie but not by hudson mohawke. i heard he'd been signed a while back and the godawful artist name rang a bell - turns out i suffered through a chunk of a live set by him in edinburgh last year, least the upside is my crappy free cd i got might ebay for a bit in the future if everyone else doesn't agree that he's shite... or he goes good... Guest ~ism
sadly not, though I'm sure I mind you posting this in the Ae subforum back shortly after the gig (April wasn't it?). I was standing to the left, just off camera by the looks of it - couldn't have been too far from the dude in the white vest. Occassionally went back to the bar behind the camera and spent bit of time just standing on periphery at the back, to the left of the FOH booth. Still miffed at not getting a desk feed of that gig, i've completely forgotten it now... I'm sure I was being given the rubber ear when I was told there wasn't one. Maybe ask again now that some time has passed... Quote Link to comment https://forum.watmm.com/topic/40394-hudson-mohawke/#findComment-889736 Share on other sites
Dr Clitterhaus
Nah, i never posted this i found it on google images yesterday, first time I've seen this photo.
