The genius of autechre is that they are so good at makin music that they make you believe its crap at first hearing, you have to listen to it at least 10 times to really grasp the subtelty of it all ....i mean for fucks sake i though Plyphon sucked !!!!!!!!!!

genius? there's no way that's possible, make a song that sounds like shit at first and then good later. maybe you just grew to like the album. it wasn't your style and then you got used to it. there's no way they sat down and said, 'let's make it sound like shit, but actually make it sound like our best stuff". you know what i mean? you just like, grew up to the music.

and rightly so.

it wasn't very good.

it was a nice headphuck experimental/ (slash) ambient roller coaster (moving slowly). it might not have been their best but i think it should have been mentioned, at least just to push electronic music

Alright.. I always thought a few other tracks were just decent, but I never listen to them anymore, because I don't really like them.

plyPhon has become much cooler now thanks to the vid made by lucio81:

But, yeah, lucio made this track a lot more exciting, not Autechre, could be that I'm just not imaginative enough to enjoy Quaristice. But I don't like the fact that there seems to be almost no emotion on this album at all, except for Altibzz.

You are the most highbrow member of this forum, and i see you as as someone who may play the flute or the clarinet in your room and then do a blog entry. But living in the Pitcairn Isle must be something of a pain as you will never get the chance to see them live and experience these sonic complexities first hand. I can't even find the Pitcairn Isle on a map, it must be very small. You will just have to appreciating Ae from afar.

I'm still trying to get into Quaristice there's a few tracks on it I like ie Rale and Chenc few others. Sadly the rest just sounds like noise to me. Sounding weird for the sake of sounding weird just don't cut my mustard.

hahahaha, he deserved that.

i thought quaristice was okay when it came out. but, as with most of their recent stuff, it gets better and better every time i listen to it.

I didn't deserve it. The fag put Pitcairn Islands as his Country.

"Cornfield" is actually a very well structured album.

Nah there's bits from Cornfield I like. It's fast, disjointed and fairly manic at times but still pretty well put together.
